- "All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the Corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the Corps! "
Mission to LV-426Edit
Apone was sent out to Acheron LV-426 to investigate the incident at Hadley's Hope, and was the second in command of the squad after Lt. Gorman.
Shortly after arriving on the planet, the group discovered the hive, where the aliens attacked them, and Apone was one of the first to be attacked and one of two to be captured alive, Dietrich being the other. It is not known whether Apone died from the impregnation of a Xenomorph or the explosion from the Atmospheric Processor going critical.
Personality & TraitsEdit
Apone is shown to be an experienced and always-ready military man. During the Colonial Marines' mission to Acheron LV-426, Apone led his squad from the USS Sulaco to Hadley's Hope colony. He chewed a cigar and laughed with his team, but didn't hesitate to get strict with them when needed. He always had to control Hudson's attitudes with the superior officers and during mission time, yet they seem to be good friends. He was one of the most liked members of the team and the best the Colonial Marines had to offer.
- Apone is one of the film characters available as a playable characters if one pre-orders Aliens: Colonial Marines.
- Apone's actor, Al Matthews, served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war.
