The RT01 Transport is an eight-wheeled, armored heavy exploration vehicle created by Weyland Industries, which is used to ferry the crew of the USCSS Prometheus from the ship and back. At least two were kept aboard the Prometheus.
The RT Series Group Transport's shape-memory alloy wheel system has nano-reinforced hard-composite treads that resist temperatures up to 2000°F. Its ceramic gas turbine engine has 400,000 pounds of thrust making its cargo weight practically unlimited. With an 5.7 meter wheelbase, the personnel bay fits up to 20 occupants.
