Weyland Corporation, also referred as Weyland Industries or Weyland Corp, was a British corporation that was established by Sir Peter Weyland on October 11, 2012. Weyland Corp soon became the first company in history to make $100 billion within 5 years due to massive successes in technological advances. Along with the Japanese company, Yutani Corporation, it was one of the antecedents to the Weyland-Yutani conglomerate corporation.

Weyland Corporation was established by Sir Peter Weyland on October 11, 2012 and has since been recognized as a legal entity and corporation under United States law and receives their Certificate of Incorporation from the Companies House in the United Kingdom. Due to the combined value of Sir Peter Weyland’s various patents and patent-pendings, the company incorporates with a higher fair market valuation than any other company in history.
On March 27, 2015, Weyland Corp launched the first industrialized space mission to install solar panels that align and move in Earth’s orbital plane but at an axial tilt, imitating a perpetual summer solstice. The renewable energy gathered in the months following this expedition made Peter Weyland his first billion. Following Weyland's success with solar panels, Weyland Corp receives funding from a trio of major venture capital firms.
Using a precursor to the atmospheric processor of his own invention, Peter Weyland is able to generate a localized synthetic atmosphere above the polar ice cap, effectively ending global warming. Using capital from his 2015 success, Weyland acquires copyrights to technology developed by NASA’s innovative but poorly funded Project Prometheus. With Weyland’s significantly augmented funding for the project, JIMO became a reality and proves the existence of simple life in Europa’s ocean.
In 2089, Peter Weyland was contacted by Elizabeth Shaw and Charlie Holloway after they discovered ancient star maps that revealed that an ancient civilization, believed to be humanity's creator, had invited them to their planet. Intrigued by the possibility of meeting his creator, Weyland funds the USCSS Prometheus, named after the titan that gave mankind fire, to travel to the planet. However, Weyland himself went on the voyage, leaving his estranged daughter Meredith Vickers as acting CEO of the Weyland Corporation. She ended up also joining the voyage as mission director.
After the Prometheus went missing along with all of its crew, the Weyland Corporation was left behind. Sometime in the late 21st century, Weyland Corp merged with the Yutani Corporation to create the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
