The "Runner" alien or Xenomorph is formed when a facehugger impregnates an animal which is a Quadruped such as a dog (As seen in Alien 3) thus producing a Xenomorph with the characteristics of an animal on all fours. This makes Runner aliens dangerously quick as they run on all fours and are more nimble and quicker through air ducts etc as opposed to a human born Xeno which is larger in size and Bi-Pedal (Walks on 2 hind legs like a human). The "Runner" Xenomorph also appears to be more reddish brown in colour compared to its human born counterpart which is completely black in comparison. This Xeno is also referred to as the "dog alien". due to it being born from a dog and how closely it resembles one.
