The Spitter (or Xeno Spitter) is one of the new Xenomorph breed that was encountered by the USS Sephora Marine squad on LV-426.

Appearance & AbilitiesEdit

The Spitter possesses a large headcrest that somewhat resembles the Queen's headcrest. The Spitter also possesses several acid pounches, which resemble yellow pustules located on each side of its cranium. As its name suggests, it is capable of spitting acid at its target at a long range assisted by a marker which appears when targeting a marine. we do not know how the spitter was created though. was it a xeno radiated from the nuclear blast? or is it a evolved warrior? some of its abilities include exploding, spitting acid and having its claws coated in acid. Spitters can be sniper units as well as attacking up front.

• John Mulkey stated the the Spitter's design is a clear nod of the Spitter from Left for Dead 2 and the Dilophosaurus from Jurassic Park.
• In the Tactical Multiplayer Trailer, there are three different types of Xeno Spitters. There is the one in the image above, another one has several more acid pouches on top of its head, and the last one has more acid pouches on the sides and a row of small horns on top of its head.
• In gameplay a player can select one of four different head appearances and one of six different body appearances.
• Also the spitter can explode upon death, making them lethal up front as well.
• spitters can even shoot and kill from across the map, making marines using battle rifles
